Remind me why we live here again. -20 degrees below zero and it is only 6:15pm. That is not with the windchill either. I am keeping my fingers crossed that my husband has gotten my hints that I want to go some where warm on vacation his winter - just the two of us.

Our Best Trick Yet

We have had this ongoing Halloween trick battle with our good friends the Underwood kids... it all started with Ben moving Kyle's pumpkin on top of their van when they were not home one Halloween night a few years ago ... and every since it has been war. This year with help of Kate and Brad we made carmel onions for the kids all wrapped nice and pretty. Sorry Adrianna - we were hoping Kyle was going to take the first bite :)

Sidewalk Project

We continued our sidewalk all the way around our house about a month ago. It turned out awesome - my main goal was to get the girls hand prints in the cement.

The Trasks have been going to Jerome & Shirley's lake home on Lake Kitchi for the past 28 years.

First Day at the Middle School

This was a very tough day on Mom ... You think the first day at daycare is rough or kindergarten ... try dropping them off at a huge new school where it is not cool to have your parents hold your hand. Kylie loves 6th grade - she gets to change class rooms, meet new friends, have what ever for lunch (such as ala cart), and joined the swim team. Knowing you're getting older is hard but letting go is harder.

Kylie received 10 blue ribbons out of 10! Winning 2 grand champions in Childhood Development & Scrapbooking. She also received a blue ribbon in open class for a tiger lily.

She in not old enough to go to the State Fair this year .... but maybe next year.

Fun in the Sun this Hot Weekend

We had fun swimming and playing in sand at Grant Lake Sunday!

Saturday we were in the wading pool on the porch ... the water was luke warm. Thanks Dad for putting cold and hot water valves in for the garden hose. No waiting for the sun to warm it up for these bathing beauties.
